Banqiao District is rich in historical heritage and filled with cultural and creative attractions, making it a vibrant corner of the city where art and humanity come together. Before the dazzling lights of 2025 Christmasland in New Taipei City illuminate the night, it’s the perfect time to plan a short trip around the area and discover the diverse charms of Banqiao.

One must-visit spot is 435 Art Zone • New Taipei City, surrounded by expansive green spaces, fountain landscapes, and colorful umbrella installations. Combined with regularly hosted art exhibitions, it is an ideal destination for families to explore and enjoy creativity together. Nearby, the New Taipei Wetland Story Museum showcases the restoration of the Dahan River, offering an immersive environmental education experience that highlights the ecological importance of wetlands.

Another local gem is the Taiwan Toy Museum, which houses over ten thousand toys that connect generations through shared childhood memories. Also in the vicinity is the Crescent Bridge, a pedestrian- and cyclist-friendly landmark spanning Banqiao and Xinzhuang. With its spacious deck and wide-open views, it is a perfect spot for strolling, cycling, sunset watching, or taking in the dazzling nightscape.
The “Banqiao Broadcasting Station,” located near the New Taipei City Hall, was once one of the five major broadcasting facilities in Taiwan. Today, the historic site has been revitalized into a vibrant arts and cultural hub, now home to various theaters and performance troupes. It has transformed into a new venue promoting literature, aesthetics, family-friendly activities, lifelong leisure, and dining services.
Located in Fuzhong, the “The Lin Family Mansion and Garden” is the most well-preserved traditional garden architecture in Taiwan. Every corner offers a picturesque view and poetic charm, making it an ideal place to appreciate the beauty of historical architecture and experience its rich cultural heritage.

Beyond cultural heritage and natural scenery, the diverse local cuisine is another highlight that visitors must not miss in Banqiao! The lively Nanya Tourist Night Market, which grows more vibrant as night falls, gathers a wide array of traditional delicacies—from classic oyster omelets, Taiwanese sausages wrapped in sticky rice, stinky tofu, and soup dumplings to sweet grilled corn. International flavors also blend into the scene, including Thai boat noodles, molten Cuban sandwiches, and Cantonese-style beef offal, offering travelers a delightful feast of rich and diverse flavors.
New Taipei City Governmentt reminds visitors to make use of public transportation—such as TRA, THSR, buses, intercity coaches, and the MRT—when traveling to major attractions.
