Creative Fusion of Light and Circus: An Immersive Colorful Corridor


【New Taipei City News】The 2025 Christmasland in New Taipei City, brimming with the vibrant charm of the circus, is almost here! The festivities officially kick off on Friday, November 14, with surrounding skywalks and sidewalks transformed into playful circus scenes. Bursting with whimsy and joy, the entire city becomes a dazzling circus stage.We warmly invite everyone to step into the Circus Carnival and experience the excitement and festive spirit firsthand!


In addition to the large-scale art installations, this year’s 2025 Christmasland in New Taipei City extends its creative circus-themed decorations to surrounding skywalks and sidewalks, combining light and shadow to create dazzling and whimsical circus scenes. The “Dazzling Aerial Acrobats” on the Xiao Far Eastern Department Store Skywalk uses a sea of golden lights to form a spectacular stage, with light strips mimicking the trapeze artists’ acrobatic movements as they soar through the corridor, injecting motion and wonder into the space. The Extreme Fire Ring Show” on the Baiyang Building Skywalk recreates the thrilling circus moment of a lion leaping through a flaming hoop. On the Banqiao Station Skywalk, the “Carnival Bunting” feature triangular pennants in the colors of the New Taipei City emblem, showcasing a unique city aesthetic. Enchanted Light Ring” on the Xinfu Road Skywalk reflects shimmering light through crystal-clear glass, forming a radiant aerial avenue of flowing light. At the skywalk beside the Xianmin Boulevard bus station, the “Joyful Bubble Wonderland” intertwine colorful neon spheres, creating a playful, bubble-like scene. The “Time Capsule” on the Xinzhan Road Skywalk uses technological light effects to create a sense of extended space, guiding visitors on a wondrous journey through time and space. Finally, the “LINE FRIENDS Starlight Avenue” in the Banqiao Station B1 passageway combines LINE FRIENDS characters with amusement-themed lighting, creating a festive atmosphere full of fun and joy!



The New Taipei City Government actively promotes gender inclusivity, calling on citizens to join the fight against gender-based violence while introducing a range of friendly policies. These include gender-friendly restrooms in the B1 level of Civic Plaza, vending machines offering diverse menstrual products, and Taiwan’s first dedicated Gender Equality Base, the “Gender Equality Little Hub”, featuring an educational playground and a menstrual product museum to help the public understand gender equality through everyday life.This year, the “Magic Color Sphere” installed on the Xianmin Boulevard Skywalk highlight the campaign, featuring the coral-orange color of the United Nations’ anti-gender-violence movement—a symbol of inclusivity and care—along with interactive light spheres that change color when touched. Each color transformation represents an act of understanding, respect, and listening, allowing participants to experience the values of equality and respect. In this way, the festive spirit shines not only before their eyes but also from the heart, illuminating the entire city.


n addition, the four sidewalks surrounding Civic Plaza have been transformed into a Circus Fun Avenue, each with its own creative highlights. The Zhongshan Road sidewalk features the “Magical Hat Show”, offering dynamic surprises as it rises and lowers. The Xinfu Road sidewalk showcases the “Circus Tent Avenue”, with classic circus tent silhouettes guiding visitors into a fairytale circus world. On the Xinzhan Road sidewalk, the “Clown Party Parade” uses clown-shaped chairs for interactive photo opportunities, allowing visitors to feel like part of the circus performance.
