【New Taipei City News】The 2025 Christmasland in New Taipei City Lights Up Early!The New Taipei City Government Tourism Bureau held a media preview today (10th), offering an exclusive first look at the stunning highlights of this year’s Christmasland. The dazzling sea of lights is seamlessly blended with whimsical circus elements, filling every step with surprises and childlike joy. Media on-site captured the most vibrant and festive moments, officially kicking off the sparkling opening of Christmasland ahead of time.


The 2025 Christmasland in New Taipei City continues to innovate in its installation designs, featuring multiple dynamic mechanical art pieces that bring the lively spirit of circus performers to life. These installations move in sync with lights and music, offering ever-changing visual effects that make visitors feel as though they’ve stepped into a real circus show, fully immersed in the joyful and colorful atmosphere of The 2025 Christmasland in New Taipei City. Highlights showcased during the media preview include the main installation, the Fun Circus Tent, which pairs with the light show on the north façade of City Hall, creating an energetic Christmas circus spectacle through synchronized lighting and mechanical motion; the Magical Clock Tower at Banqiao Station Square, where rotating gears and a gift box that opens on schedule reveal surprise character appearances among gently falling snow, crafting a dreamy and romantic scene; and the LINE FRIENDS Ferris Wheel of Joy at Fuzhong Shopping Area, a donut-shaped, brightly colored Ferris wheel where beloved characters ride in rotating cabins, waving and smiling at visitors with charming, heart-warming appeal. Additional installations featured in the preview include the Christmas Elf Circus Party at the MRT Circular Line Banqiao Station South Plaza, the Sky Track Gift Train at Banqiao Station East Gate 2, the Sally’s Magical Show at the Zhongshan–Xinfu intersection, the Magical Hat Show along Zhongshan Road sidewalks, and the Circus Elephant Spin on Xianmin Boulevard sidewalks. Through playful and dynamic presentations, these installations convey the vibrant spirit of the circus, transforming the entire Christmasland into a dazzling stage of light and wonder that brightens the winter nights across the city.


The 2025 Christmasland in New Taipei City not only presents a spectacular visual feast but also incorporates innovative technology to create a fully immersive, multi-sensory experience that allows visitors to enjoy the beauty of the Christmas season in new and engaging ways. Among the must-see installations unveiled during the media preview is the Circus Cannon Light & Sound Zone at the intersection of Xianmin Boulevard and Xinfu Road, where a powerful cannon blast sound marks the opening of the circus show, as if announcing the official start of the performance and instantly igniting a wave of excitement throughout the crowd. At the intersection of Xianmin Boulevard and Xinzhàn Road, the Popcorn Theater releases bursts of popcorn aroma at scheduled intervals, recreating the lively ambiance unique to circus festivities and filling the streets with a joyful scent. Meanwhile, the Christmas Surprise Mini Theater features a two-tier wooden cabinet as its stage, enhanced with naked-eye 3D screen technology and layered special effects. Through dynamic lighting and immersive sound design, it delivers a captivating and realistic fantasy performance—earning enthusiastic praise from the media during the preview tour.


The Christmas magic doesn’t stop there! The 14-meter-tall Kinmen Tourism Angel — At the Otter — is making a special appearance at Christmasland in New Taipei City this year. From November 14 (Fri.) to November 23 (Sun.), At will host a limited-time “healing party” at two locations: the New Taipei City Plaza in front of the Banqiao Station Square near Xinzhàn Road, and the eastern side of the Oriental Residence at the intersection of Xianmin Boulevard and Xinzhàn Road — a truly eye-catching attraction!
Featuring Kinmen’s iconic natural ecology and local beliefs, the installation brings to life a series of adorable giant inflatables, including the Eurasian otter, an endangered protected species; the hoopoe, a resident bird of Kinmen known for its stylish crest; and the Wind Lion God, the guardian deity of local villages. Together, these three “Cute Friends from Kinmen” showcase the island’s rich natural and cultural charm.
