【New Taipei City News】Since the grand opening of the “2025 Christmasland in New Taipei City” on November 14 (Fri), the event’s popularity has continued to climb, with total attendance surpassing 1.6 million visitors so far. People from all over Taiwan have flocked to experience the vibrant circus-themed light installations, creative gourmet markets, and a variety of exciting activities, fully immersing themselves in the festive Christmas spirit of the city. Despite the large crowds, overall traffic has remained smooth throughout the event period thanks to the joint efforts of the police, volunteer traffic controllers, and the coordinated work of the Tourism and Transportation Departments. Surrounding routes have been well-managed, allowing the public to enjoy the Christmas celebrations with safety and convenience.

To accommodate the continuously growing number of visitors, the New Taipei City Government has activated a cross-departmental traffic coordination mechanism. Police officers and volunteer traffic personnel have been stationed at key intersections to enhance on-site guidance, with traffic flow being adjusted flexibly according to real-time conditions to prevent congestion.To further improve overall transportation efficiency and ease traffic pressure, the city government also urges the public to make full use of public transportation when traveling to event venues. Banqiao Station, as a major transport hub integrating high-speed rail, Taiwan Railways, the Taipei Metro Bannan Line, and the New Taipei Metro Circular Line, provides multiple convenient travel options. In addition, many bus routes pass through the Christmasland area; passengers can simply board buses marked “via “The 2025 Christmasland in New Taipei City” to reach the venue effortlessly for a smoother travel experience.The New Taipei City Government extends its sincere appreciation to all on-duty personnel for their full support, ensuring that this year’s 2025 Christmasland in New Taipei City can be held safely and orderly.


In addition, multiple traffic control measures have been announced to ensure on-site traffic flow and pedestrian safety. During the event period, left turns from County Boulevard onto Xinzhàn Road toward Tucheng are prohibited daily from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Bicycles are also not allowed on the sidewalks surrounding City Hall from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. each day to maintain smooth pedestrian movement and reduce safety risks.Regarding roadside parking regulations, parking is prohibited daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. in the yellow-line zones along both sides of Xinzhàn Road (Far Eastern Mega City side, between County Boulevard and Zhongshan Road) and Xinfǔ Road (Far Eastern Department Store side, between Zhongshan Road and District Sports Road). Drivers are advised to pay close attention to avoid violations.Additionally, certain YouBike stations near the event area will be temporarily suspended. The New Taipei City Hall (Xinzhàn Road) and New Taipei City Hall (Xinfǔ Road) stations will suspend bike rental and return services daily from 3:00 p.m. to midnight, while the Banqiao Bus Station site will suspend services all day. The public is encouraged to plan bike rental and return locations in advance.
