【New Taipei City News】“2025 Christmasland in New Taipei City” continues to capture widespread attention at home and abroad with its one-and-only fantasy circus-themed main light installation, attracting over 3 million visitors to date. The festivities reached another highlight today (Dec. 5) with the “Main Light Show Premiere & German Christmas Market Opening Press Conference.”At the event, New Taipei City Mayor Hou Yu-Ih officiated the launch of the second brand-new Laser Mapping 3D Projection Show — Circus Magic Props Edition. LINE FRIENDS’ popular character Sally also made a surprise appearance, adding an extra dose of adorable charm to the scene.Meanwhile, the beloved “Freunde willkommen! German Christmas Market”, a long-running favorite among residents and tourists, officially opened simultaneously. Dr. Arndt Freytag von Loringhoven, Chief Representative and Director General of the German Institute Taipei, joined the celebration, together illuminating this cross-cultural winter festival.Mayor Hou remarked, “Being able to enjoy world-class projection shows in New Taipei and step right into an authentic German Christmas market—that’s the festive magic we want to bring to everyone.”



This year’s second Laser Mapping 3D Projection Show, “Circus Magic Props Edition,” follows the storyline of “LINE FRIENDS Circus Carnival.” The show depicts the LINE FRIENDS characters—dressed up for the carnival—accidentally swept into a magical dimension, where their costumes are instantly undone, returning them to their original forms.To make it to the carnival, they must search for the lost magic wand and rekindle their own unique circus charm.The projection show incorporates multi-layered scene transitions such as the Hat Forest, Mechanical Gear Plaza, and Dislocated Corridor, enhancing the narrative progression with visually striking environments. The Christmas tree “Fun Circus Tent” also glows in sync with the projection, creating a fully immersive, venue-wide dynamic experience that transports audiences into a world of enchanting light and adventure.



As the projection show illuminated the night sky, the German Christmas Market also opened simultaneously, featuring nearly 50 vendors. Continuing the style of traditional German holiday markets, the venue is adorned with warm golden lights that create a cozy festive ambiance, offering classics such as mulled wine, German sausages, smoked meats, and pork knuckles. With the inviting aromas and European-inspired atmosphere filling the air, visitors can enjoy an authentic winter holiday experience in New Taipei—without flying all the way to Europe.The market also offers a variety of festive activities, including “Make Your Own Gingerbread,” “German Fairy Tale Body Painting,” and “Meet Santa Claus.” Whether for adults or children, everyone can discover a touch of winter magic and happiness at this seasonal celebration.As the winter holiday spirit grows stronger, 2025 Christmasland in New Taipei City brings an even richer international flair and festive atmosphere with this year’s signature event — “Freunde willkommen! German Christmas Market.” The three-day celebration will take place from December 5 (Fri) to December 7 (Sun).The market features over 40 specialty booths, offering German holiday cuisine, European-style handcrafted goods, imported beer, mulled wine, and other festive delights. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of holiday DIY workshops and live Christmas music performances, creating a warm and charming scene reminiscent of a traditional European Christmas market.Everyone is invited to step into this festive world and experience the enchanting holiday vibes with a touch of German flair!



Starting today through December 28, 2025, two spectacular 3D projection shows—“Circus Magic Props” and “Delivering Christmas Melodies: LINE FRIENDS Are With You!”—will light up the night from 17:30 to 23:00, transforming New Taipei City Plaza into a dazzling world of immersive light and fantasy, accompanying everyone through the brightest Christmas season.

The highly anticipated “The Greatest Show – Superstar Christmas Concert” will also take the stage on December 13 and 14, featuring a star-studded lineup poised to ignite the audience with back-to-back performances.
